Description:

The HKU Faculty of Engineering has developed a comprehensive five-day programme, tailored to offer senior secondary school students a vibrant and enriching experience in the esteemed company of faculty members and fellow students this summer.

The programme comprises a series of engaging lectures delivered by esteemed instructors from the Faculty of Engineering, as well as invaluable opportunities for students to interact with current business students. These interactions serve as a platform for the fruitful exchange of ideas and experiences. The programme delves into various key areas to provide an initial understanding of the core subjects taught in the first and second years of the HKU Engineering undergraduate degree. The programme also features hands-on electronic projects where each student will assemble your own robot. As the programme draws to a close, students will have the opportunity to compete with your peers to solve the maze.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the basics of Engineering
  • Explore trending issues and gain insights of career prospects related to Engineering field
  • Gain hands-on experience in making your own robot
  • Develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills in preparation for competition

Selection and Result Announcement: All applications will be assessed according to applicants’ individual calibre and potential. Application results and payment details will be announced to successful applicants via email.

*It is our firm belief that no student should be denied admission due to financial difficulties. Grant is available for students who can provide supporting documents issued by the Student Finance Office for receiving a full grant of Student Textbook Assistance Scheme or documents from the Social Welfare Department for obtaining CSSA. To apply, please select the specific programme on the system accordingly.
