At the Academy, you are exposed to the finest learning experience all year round. In addition to academic programmes in Business, STEM, Medicine, English, Law, Science, and Engineering, you can engage in a range of immersive educational programmes for acquiring professional knowledge, such as monthly talks, interdisciplinary programmes, legal and personal enrichment programmes. In particular, the Academy organizes intensive learning programmes for secondary school students every summer. Through authentic university teaching and learning experiences, you can have a taste of the dynamic and vibrant campus life at HKU. The Academy provides you with authentic experiences of university life through tailored academic programmes covering the following fields:
- Medicine, Healthcare and Neuroscience

Our programmes typically involve one or more of the following elements:
- Lectures and/or hands-on workshops conducted by prominent HKU professors Corporate visits
- Corporate visits

- Internship opportunities offered by our partner companies for winners of certain programmes

Over the years, the Academy nurtured a cross-generational HKU community, ranging from alumni to current and prospective students. Students can certainly benefit by connecting our accomplished HKU students and alumni, to receive extensive support and guidance, and ultimately enrich their academic, social, and whole-personal potentials.
Our academic programmes and workshops are the best gateways for allowing students to establish long-term bonding with like-minded elite students of various secondary schools, as well as our HKU student ambassadors. Furthermore, in line with HKU’s vision of being Asia’s Global University, many of our tailor-made programmes present international networking opportunities for you to connect, meet and engage with the world’s high-calibre students in such events as (i) the Nobel Week in Stockholm and (ii) the International Symposium on STEM Education attended by worldwide talented youths.

Each talk offers students the opportunity to engage with the latest research and developments, inspiring them to explore new academic horizons and deepen their understanding of various disciplines. Monthly talks, events and workshops cover informative and intriguing sharing by our professional speakers who are experts in their fields. Topics may include:
