Hello to all Members of the HKU Academy for the Talented,
A very warm welcome to you all!

I am pleased to introduce to you the Academy for the Talented scheme, the University of Hong Kong’s (HKU) flagship pre-undergraduate academic programme.

Established in 2011, the Academy is dedicated to educating and nurturing gifted secondary school students, both locally and internationally. With over 11,000 members from more than 90 nationalities, we recruit the brightest minds from diverse backgrounds, offering students a truly global environment for their first introduction to campus life. Our extensive support from schools worldwide and collaboration with industry experts ensure that our students receive a dynamic, holistic education. By joining our programmes, high school students can delve into their passions and build the confidence to seamlessly transition into university life and beyond.

As Hong Kong’s first world-class tertiary education institution, we are committed to upholding this proud tradition of academic excellence and international diversity within the Academy.
