This full day event will provide 2 Mocks Lectures: ‘Why do we need Accounting?’ and ‘Contemporary Issues in Business and Management’ taught by HKU Business School professors. There will be also Admissions Talks, HKU Campus Tour and current HKU students sharing. You will also have the chance to explore different business disciplines in HKU and how HKU shapes your future career paths.

Programme Instructor: 

Prof. Lilian Him Lai CHAN
Dr. Chan’s research interests include archival financial accounting and auditing, specifically in the areas of financial reporting quality, corporate disclosure, corporate governance, and investor trading behavior. One of her research is in the area of clawback provisions, which investigates the effects and consequences of clawback adoptions in terms of financial reporting quality and investment behavior. Her research has been cited by the SEC and covered in numerous international press releases including CFO.com, Accounting Today, Thomson Reuters, Financial Director, and National Law Review. Her publication was featured in the monthly press release by American Accounting Association (AAA).

Prof. Vincent Peng ZHANG
Vincent Peng Zhang joined the University of Hong Kong in 2021 after receiving his Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Georgia.
 
Dr. Zhang’s research interests include digital advertising, omnichannel marketing, and new product development/innovation, where he applies various econometrical and machine learning techniques to empirically explore the link between managers’ strategic interventions and the focal firm’s business performance. Prior to his doctoral study, Dr. Zhang had been working in the advertising industry in both the U.S. and China for almost 10 years in the function of data analytics.
