HK$ 7,000* (Academy member)

HK$ 8,500* (Non-member)

*The programme fee covers the tuition fees. Meals and accommodation in Peking University are also included. Expenses for personal consumption are not included. (Additional charges may apply).

*Please note that students will need to self-arrange the travel between Hong Kong and Beijing, as well as all other miscellaneous expenses.

Description:

The HKU - PKU Yuanpei College Summer Academy for the Talented Programme is a comprehensive 1-week experience offered by the HKU Business School, HKU Faculty of Law, and the Yuanpei College of Peking University (PKU). This programme is designed to cultivate participants’ global perspectives with an intimate understanding of China. 

The programme comprises a series of engaging lectures delivered by esteemed instructors from the HKU Business School and the Faculty of Law. Participants will also explore the diverse programme directions of Yuanpei College of Peking University and gain an in-depth understanding of college-level student life.

Learning Objectives:

• Gain exposure to the learning environment in both universities
• Acquire unique cross-cultural experience through learning and living in two top universities
• Experience the academic life at Yuanpei College through various kinds of social and cultural activities
• Learn about the content of different disciplines and research life through face-to-face communication among outstanding students.

Language Requirements:

The programme at HKU will be conducted in English. The programme in PKU will be conducted in Mandarin.

Other Requirements:

• Please make sure your Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents is valid and effective at both the date of the application and the programme dates.
• Please remember to get a mainland phone number and set up a WeChat account to apply for on-campus meal cards and dormitory access control.

Selection and Result Announcement: 

All applications will be assessed according to applicants’ individual caliber and potential. Application results and payment details will be announced to successful applicants via email.

* The programme is subject to cancellation if there are insufficient applications.

* It is our firm belief that no student should be denied admission due to financial difficulties. Grant is available for students who can provide supporting documents issued by the Student Finance Office for receiving a full grant of the Student Textbook Assistance Scheme or documents from the Social Welfare Department for obtaining CSSA.
