HKU-PKU Yuanpei College Summer Academy 2025
Programme Description:
The HKU – PKU Yuanpei College Summer Academy Programme is a comprehensive 1-week experience offered by the HKU Faculty of Social Science and the Yuanpei College of Peking University (PKU). Students will engage in a comprehensive programme that includes four days at Peking University, followed by an additional three days at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). This programme is meticulously designed to cultivate participants’ global perspective while providing students with an in-depth understanding of China and the unique experiences of life at HKU.
Participants will explore the diverse programmatic options available at Yuanpei College, Peking University, which will allow students to cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of college-level student life. Additionally, the programme includes a series of captivating lectures presented by Professors from the Faculty of Social Science at the University of Hong Kong (HKU).

- Experience the academic life in Yuanpei College through various kinds of social and cultural activities

Programme Details:

- Programme Period: July 23 –26, 2025 at PKU and July 28 – 30, 2025 at HKU

- Target Audience: S4 – S5 / Grade 10-11 / Year 11-12

- Eligibility: Hong Kong and Macau residents, attending secondary schools in Hong Kong and Macau. Students have a Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao residents (As known as “ Home Return Permit” )
- Programme Code: HPYPC2025
- Language requirement: The programme in HKU will be conducted in English. The programme in PKU will be conducted in Putonghua.
- Programme Fees: HKD 13,000 (Academy member) . HKD 16,000 (Non-academy member)
- The programme fee covers tuition fee. The meals and accommodation in PKU are also included. Personal consumption expenses are not included. (Additional charges may apply).

- Please note that students will need to self-arrange the travel between Hong Kong and Beijing, as well as all other miscellaneous expenses.
- Please be reminded to get a mainland phone number and set up a WeChat account in order to apply for on-campus meal cards as well as dormitory access control in PKU.
