[Faculty Month ] AR Ophthalmology Workshop
Workshop Overview
Under the growing prevalence of eye diseases in Hong Kong, it is inevitably necessary to raise the awareness of the vision health amongst the younger generation and the general public. Therefore, during the AR workshop, the symptoms of common eye diseases, including the aged-related macular degeneration, cataract and color blindness, are simulated by the technology of augmented reality. Coupled with the engaging activities, the workshop will help participants develop a vivid and long-lasting memory of the eye diseases. More importantly if visual anomalies show up, they will reach out for checkups from eye care professionals.
