
HKU Academy x KCL: International Relations
Programme Overview:
The overarching aims of this programme are to offer students a unique opportunity to study International Relations at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) and King’s College London (KCL).
Through interactive lectures, case studies, and discussions, students will gain insights into both the Hong Kong and UK legal systems, developing critical thinking, advocacy, and cross-jurisdictional perspectives. The programme also includes networking opportunities and cultural experiences, providing a well-rounded introduction to global legal education.
Learning Outcomes:

- Experience a variety of learning activities typical of first year undergraduate study.
- Build relevant knowledge to support future study in the field of International Relations.
- Carryout independent research on a given topic and produced a structured and well supported response to an assignment brief .
- Work collaboratively in diverse groups to produce a presentation.
Assessment: Assessment is designed to reflect university-level assignments. Feedback from tutors will allow students to see how well they have performed and where they can improve. Upon completion of the programme and course assignments, students receive a King’s certificate of attendance.
Programme Duration: July 2-4, 2025 (3 days) at HKU, July 7-11, 2025 (5 days) at KCL
Target Audience: Academically high achieving Year 12 and 13 high school students (Secondary 5 – 6) between the ages of 16 – 17
