HKU Budding Health Leader Programme
Programme Description:
HKU Budding Health Leader Programme, a collaboration between the HKU Admissions Office and The University of Hong Kong–Shenzhen Hospital (HKU-SZH), offers interdisciplinary and comprehensive courses on healthcare administration, leadership, and policy development in Hong Kong and Mainland China. The curriculum combines theoretical fundamentals with real-world applications, through interactive sessions and practical exercises, students develop essential skills for effective healthcare management. The programme aims to provide high school students with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience to succeed in the ever-changing healthcare industry.

Programme Period: 1 week at HKU & 1 week at University of Hong Kong–Shenzhen Hospital

Quota: 25 for each class in Shenzhen and 50 in Hong Kong
Programme Fee:
The programme fee covers tuition and catering at HKU-Shenzhen Hospital. Please note that personal expenses and meals in Hong Kong are not included in the programme fee.

- Accommodation in Hong Kong can be applied through the Academy’s application system by selecting the programme July 14 – 18 Accommodation with the code “ACC03.” The accommodation fee at HKU is HK$450 per night, and there will be 6 nights in total, with check-in on July 13 and check-out on July 19.
- Applicants who choose the programme-only option will need to arrange their own accommodation in Shenzhen.
Eligibility:
Travel documents—such as the Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents, the Hong Kong and Macao Travel Permit, and passports—must be valid both at the time of application and throughout the programme period. Applicants are required to upload copies of these documents, clearly showing the validity dates, in the application system.
