Programme Fee:
- HKD 10,000 per participant for the academic year (November 2024 – August 2025).
- The programme fee will be divided into two payments:
- 1st payment: Due one week after the enrolment offer in November 2024.
- 2nd payment: Due on February 21, 2025.
The programme fee covers teaching costs and guidance throughout the academic year. It does not cover expenses for international conference participation. Programme fees are non-refundable.

Enrolments:
- Schools are invited to nominate a team of three students to constitute a school team for participation in the program. This team will collaborate with HKUMED supervisors throughout the academic year.
- Priority shall be accorded to AcT members.

- Applicants are required to submit a 1-minute video presented in English outlining their reasons for joining the programme, expectations of the programme, and future career goals. Please share the video via a link in the field “Why are you applying to this programme?” in the application system.
Description:
- The Budding Medical & Health Researchers Programme provides an 8-week comprehensive training course on clinical research, data analysis, and health systems, followed by a 6-month hands-on project team experience. The programme aims to develop students’ research skills and offer them insight into the ever-evolving medical and healthcare industry. Through interactive sessions, practical exercises, and real-world project involvement, students will gain valuable experience and knowledge, enhancing their readiness for future academic and career pursuits in healthcare.

- Gain hands-on experience in data analysis using R, including basic statistical analysis, regression, and machine learning.

Selection and Result Announcement:
All applications will be assessed based on the team’s collective profile. The screening process will be conducted by the HKU Admission Office, and results are scheduled to be announced in early November. Successful applicants will receive application results and payment details via email.
