COVID-19 Control Measures
From this coming Monday, 28 February, the University will implement the Vaccine Pass scheme for campus access.
The first of three phases of the Vaccine Pass scheme will run until late April. In this period, anyone wishing to enter any part of HKU campus must have received either (a) two doses of recognised COVID-19 vaccines for at least 14 days, or (b) one dose of COVID-19 vaccination and also provide a negative COVID-19 test result from within the previous seven days. COVID-19 tests will no longer be accepted as an alternative to vaccination.
Individuals who have been assessed by a doctor as being medically unsuitable for vaccination can present a negative COVID-19 test result from within the previous seven days. Children aged 5-17 are only required to receive one dose of COVID-19 vaccination.
Anyone not complying with these requirements will be denied access to the University campus. Colleagues who do not observe the requirements may be unable to fulfil their duties, and the University may take appropriate follow-up action.
From 28 February, only five major entrances to the HKU main campus will remain open. Please refer to this map for details.
Further information about the HKU Vaccine Pass and related FAQs is available from the HKU COVID-19 Info Hub.
Do continue to stay vigilant, and always make personal and group health your top priority.
